QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY
Dynamic and multi-faceted Educator

Fosters students creative minds through multi-cultural relationship building.

Analyzes data to inform instruction and meets student needs using skills in organization,
adaptability, and technology.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Build multi-cultural relationships
Embraced and greeted over 150 new students each semester through introductions and 3
orientation sessions.

Gauged classroom diversity through correlating 80+ introduction surveys each semester and
adjusted activities to meet and be sensitive to student needs, such as explaining Christian
symbolism in Lord of the Flies to Muslim students and opening dialogue about religious
differences.
Analyze data

Analyzed 300+ test results at the beginning of each academic year to appropriately place over
150 students into 3 different classes.

Administered and analyzed 3 TOEFL practice tests every 8 weeks in class and intensified

instruction in the weakest skills, such as generating stations activities to focus on speaking
practice and pronunciation utilizing tongue twisters.

Mapped 20-student gradebook and test results over a 16-week period and changed category
weighting in homework and test categories the following semester to neutralize an adverse
effect of participating in a remedial English class.

Organize curriculum, schedules, and classroom

Revamped 5 curriculum calendars for student use to allow at least 1 months notice of upcoming
assignments and deadlines, which improved student turn-in rates on assignments in all classes,
but especially in remedial English class.

Structured classroom flow to make daily classroom duties, such as attendance, daily journals,
turning in homework, and getting into groups, 10%+ more efficient, allowing for more student
discussion and instruction.

Implemented 3-4 student roles in groups and stations activities to encourage student ownership

of learning, which increased student participation by 10%+ and improved learning and retention
by 15%+.

Adapt course materials

Created 2 brand new courses (Introduction to Theatre and Introduction to Speech) to

accommodate 30+ students per class. Adjusted curriculum for freshmen through senior students
and changed assignment length in relation to student abilities.

Modified 3 English and 2 History courses that were 16 weeks to fit a 12-week trimester schedule
1 week before the start of the school year.

Integrate technology
Created and analyzed data from 300+ teacher evaluations every 8 weeks; suggested changes
to curriculum and teacher assignments to the academic leadership team.
Implemented electronic communications with 5 different classes to send alerts and updates on

upcoming assignments and deadlines.
