Steel Rock Consulting Limited now offers a complete Technical

Surveillance Counter Measure (TSCM) service. A service that
helps protect against the use of unauthorised recording or
listening devices. Partnering with Advanced Security Protection
of the UAE, UK, France and South Africa we have assembled a
team of industry recognised specialists and state of the art
technical equipment capable of delivering service within most Asia
Pacic countries.
TSCM Service
TSCM sweeps are typically done on an area by area basis. The
time taken to complete the sweep is dictated by the size of the
area and the time necessary to complete the physical searching
particularly should anomalies be discovered. The Process entails

Radio frequency (RF) mapping: Analysing the RF
transmissions in the area and exploring potential listening device
transmissions (Audio / video / analogue / digital)

Electronic Sweep Using handheld 'near eld' RF
transmission detection equipment and using an NLJD (Non-Linear
Junction Detector) to detect electronic circuitry (active or inactive,
transmitting, or non-transmitting). We also use other specialist
equipment to analyse GSM, bluetooth and wireless (Wi-Fi) activity.

Electronic line testing Testing of telephone and data
cables and sockets Where applicable, the testing of PABXs,
switches / patch panels and Comms Rooms (Data Centres).

Saturation testing New technology allows for "Store &
Forward" devices, whereby they record for 24 hours, then at a
preset time rapidly burst transmit the data over GSM or Wi-Fi.
Saturation testing is performed when the TSCM search team is not
onsite, thus allowing for the detection of unusual 'out of hours'
transmissions over GSM, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

Physical Search A systematic physical search of ALL areas
within the target environment. During which, we seal 'at risk' items
that could be tampered with (such as power blocks, desk phone
handsets, exposed electrical trunking, etc).

Brief Assessment As we conduct our sweep, we shall gauge
how easy it is to access given 'secure' environments, the level of
'clear desk' policy being enforced and adhered to, any physical
anomalies such as poor acoustic shielding.

Written Report: A concise, technical report of ndings,
along with advice on how to further protect and defend your
location from eavesdropping.

Fees & Availability
Our fees are based on a minimum daily rate and include the
services of a qualied search team with the relevant equipment.
We will only operate in locations where it is legally permitted to do
so and we do not accept assignments to inltrate third party
communications.
