The following document articulates the procedures for configuring and accessing your voice mail on the Asterisk Phone systems
Accessing Voice Mail
There are three ways in which to access the voice mail system from your own extension, from another extension or external to the system
Accessing voice mail from your own extension:
Pick up receiver and either Dial *97 or press the message button on your phone
System will now prompt you for your password
Accessing voice mail from another phone or extension:
Pick up receiver and Dial *98
System will prompt you for your mail box number
Enter the extension number of the mail box you wish to access
You will now be prompted for a password
Enter the password for the mail box you wish to access
Accessing voice mail externally:
Call into the Phone system by dialing phone number of the site (this is the number others would use if they were calling you from
outside)
When the IVR menu recording starts playing Dial *98
System will prompt for your mail box number
Enter the extension number of the mail box you wish to access
You will now be prompted for a password
Enter the password for the mail box you wish to access
