Learner Record

A self reflective record/ learners self-reported


record that described specific experiences,
activities , responses and skills acquired.

It is in the form of diary, structured log book,
journal, lab notebook or sketchbooks.


The Roles of The Assessor
Ensure that the learner has a clear brief on the
format of the record and what should be
included.
Based on the learners learning outcome
Ensure that the learner knows the
requirement of the record
A process of maintaining and updating record
which is agreed by the learner
Skills Demonstration
It is used to assess a wide range of practical based
learning outcomes.
An assessor must devise a brief or set of
instructions or tasks for learners.
Sufficient learner evidence must be made available
from the skills demonstration for internal
verification and external authentication.
This may include:
Product/ outcome of the tasks where applicable, for
example, computer print out
Photographic or video evidence of learner completing
the task
Learner account of task
Assessor verification
It may take place in the workplace, in a live
environment or in a simulated environment, as
appropriate to the requirement of the module
descriptor/ component specification.
In some specific cases the demonstration must take
place in a real/ live environment.
