FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT:

The idea for this formatives assessment is for the students to combine their knowledge that they
have learnt so far of Ancient Greece. This assessment will get the students to create a poster of the
first Olympic Games. This will be broken up over a break as it is planned for two hours.
The learning areas that are included in this assessment are:
Sequence historical people and events (ACHHS098)
Use historical terms and concepts (ACHHS099)
Use a range of communication forms (oral, graphic, written) and digital technologies (ACHHS106)
Create literary texts that experiment with structures, ideas and stylistic features of selected
authors (ACELT1798)
They will need to recall on their knowledge from previous history lessons taught and research more
of the Olympic Games using laptops and books that are around the classroom.
