Genre: Persuasive Article-
Nonfiction, states the writers
opinion on a topic, provides facts
and examples, may include text
features such as headings and
graphs.
Skill: Main Idea &Key Details:
The main idea is the most
important idea that an author
presents in a text or a section of
text. Key details give important
information to support the main
idea.
Strategy: Reread: When you read
informational text, you may come
across facts and ideas that are
new to you. As you read, you can
reread the difficult sections to
make sure you understand them
and to help you remember key
details.
Vocabulary Strategy: Suffixes: A
word part added to the end of a
word to change its meaning.

Communication:
On half days students are
dismissed by 11:35
Remember: Yearbooks are $22
and you may order them online
or by bringing in your yearbook
order form.
Please be sure your child is
studying Wonders strategies for
the reading test on Fridays.
The schools six keys challenge is
this month! Students try to get
their name on the wall next to
the six keys poster displayed in
the hallway!
