Sampling Technique

The research sampling method that will be used in this study is convenience sampling
that is sometimes referred as haphazard or accidental sampling a type of a non-
probability sampling. With convenience sampling, the samples are selected because
they are accessible to the researcher. Since the research is considered as an
exploratory study and has a short span of time to conduct, it is appropriate to use this
type of sampling method to save time. The first 150 working adults (who are eating at
fast food chains) will be acquired from selected SM Malls in Metro Manila. This
sampling method will continue until 150 respondents are reached. A rating-type of
questionnaire will be provided for the convenience of first 150 respondents so that a
clear rating result of consumers preferences will be revealed. Data collection will be
conducted within five fast food chains in SM malls shopping hours from 12:00nn-
1:00pm in order to include the peak hours in malls when most of the workers are
having their break time.
