Word Wall


Brief Description (in your own words):

Word wall is a strategy used to display vocabulary for a specific unit or topic that is placed on a
wall for everyone to see and use.






How you plan to use this strategy in your Practicum, Internship, Student
Teaching, or in your own classroom:

I would use this to help students learn about a unit in P.E. If they were doing a unit on Tennis, I
would have all the terms used in Tennis on the word wall and as we went through the unit it we
would take it off the wall to discuss it. Once all of the words were talked about I would have
some sort of game where they needed to choose certain words from the wall in order to get
points. This will allow me to assess the class and know if they understand it or not.
