POST-TEACHING Reflections This activity went really well. The students were ready to read in their reading groups. They all were engaged in one another while they took turns reading. After they read, they participated in the discussion of Cascarones. All of the students have a good understanding of Cascarones. We read through the history of Cascarones. When we looked at images of them, the students were very excited to see the bright colors. They made comments such as Those are beautiful and why cant my family makes those on Easter? I played Mexican music again while the students worked. Their Cascarones turned out really well. They were all very proud of their Cascarones and enjoyed sharing them with the class. We hung them up in the hallway after they dried.
