All school policies and rules will be strictly followed in my classroom. (i.e. cell phone policy, dress, etc.) 2. At all times, students and teachers will treat each other with mutual respect. 3. All required materials need to be brought every single day of class. 4. No food or drink, except bottled water is allowed. 5. You will be given two bathroom visits per semester. I will keep a running list digitally, and I will make substitute teachers aware of the policy. If you use them in the first week, that is your choice. 6. Come to class willing and ready to learn everyday. Students who fail to comply with the preceding guidelines may expect to receive a warning slip/disciplinary action. Absences and Make-up Policy It is the students responsibility to get all work missed due to an excused absence. Students will have the number of days absent to make up all make-up work. Students will have three days upon return to reschedule any test or quiz missed due to an excused absence. Make-up tests and quizzes will only be given after an appointment has been made. You are NOT allowed to make up a test or quiz during class. I can meet before school, after school, or during my prep period. I do not allow work that was missed during a grading period to be made up because a student failed to obtain make-up work upon returning to school. Late Work Homework and daily assignments are due upon request as assigned. Assignments turned in late will be docked one letter grade for each day late. Example: a paper turned in two days late will automatically start with an 80%. All other missed points will be subtracted from that 80%. After five days, the assignment will be a failing grade. Plagiarism Statement Plagiarism is the use of anothers words or ideas and the presentation of them as though they were entirely ones own. All papers turned in will be checked for plagiarism. If it is discovered that a paper was plagiarized, the student will receive a zero on the assignment.
