Course Description:
This course is designed to engage students in learning basic agricultural business practices and native
American agricultural history. Basic business principles will be explored.
Course Objectives/ Schedule:
Through the following lessons students will obtain the information needed to be fluent in Native
American based Agri-Business.
Chapter 1: Native Agribusiness
1. Native American Agribusiness History and Culture. (week 1 and 2)
Chapter 2: Basics of Agribusiness.
2. What is an Agribusiness? (week 3)
3. The Basic Functions of an Agribusiness. (week4)
4. Managing an Agribusiness. (week 5)
Final Project (week 6)
Course Materials:
A text book is not required for this course. All reading materials will be available on the course website
at http://larrysagbiz.weebly.com/
Technology Requirements:
You will be required to use the internet, word processing, and presentation software.
2. Academic Honesty Academic honesty is fundamental to the activities and principles of any

3. Attendance and Participation Regular attendance is expected. Please contact the instructor by e-
mail prior to the absence if you must miss a class for any reason. A note from the health center is not
necessary nor does it preclude you from assignments or exams. You will be responsible for obtaining
handouts and/or materials that were distributed during your absence.
4. Late Assignments All papers and assignments should be submitted on or before the due date. Late
assignments will not be accepted. One excuse will be granted per semester, and one make up quiz
(which will be harder) will also be granted per semester.

A+ = 98% & above
B = 83% - 87.99%
C- = 70% - 72.99%
A = 93% - 97.99%
B- = 80% - 82.99%
D+ = 68% - 69.99%
A- = 90% - 92.99%
C+ = 78% - 79.99%
D = 60% - 67.99%
B+ = 88% - 89.99%
C = 73% - 79.99%
F = less than 60%
