Introduction The Podiatric Surgery Service provides surgical foot treatment to reduce foot & ankle pain for people who cannot resolve their pain through conservative treatment. The Trusts Podiatric Surgery Service has been running for over 10 years, led by Mr Alasdair McCulloch, Consultant Podiatric Surgeon. Podiatric surgeons are registered with, and answerable to, the Health & Care Professions Council. Podiatric surgeons are not medical doctors, having instead specialised over their entire graduate & post graduate training & education in studying the foot and ankle in detail, as well as the lower limb and all the associated medical knowledge necessary to safely & expertly diagnose & treat foot & ankle problems.
