ANALYSIS OF EFFECTIVENESS OF BENEFITS GIVEN:
ALL THE ABOVESAID BENEFITS HAVE EVOLVED
THROUGH THE AGES AND ARE TIME TESTED IN THE
HISTORY OF THE INDIAN MILITARY. THE MEMBERS
IN THE INDIAN DEFENCE ARE A SATISFIED AND
PROUD LOT OF PEOPLE WHO INSTILL HIGHEST
LEVELS OF PROFFESSIONALISM WITHIN
THEMSELVES. THE ATTRITION RATE HAS BEEN
REMARKABLY LOW EXCEPT FOR THE FIGHTER
PILOTS WHO MOVE TO GREENER PASTURES OF
AVIATION INDUSTRY. BUT THEN, GIVEN A CHANCE
MOST OF THESE PILOTS WOULD LIKE TO RUTURN
TO THE FORCE TO SERVE AGAIN. DEFENCE SECTOR
BEING A PRIORITY SECTOR IS KEENLY CONSIDERED
BY THE STATE MECHANISM. THE SIXTH PAY
COMMISSION HAS BEEN A MAJOR BOOST TO THIS
SECTOR TOO AS CONFIDENCE OF THE PEOPLE
EMPLOYED HAS DOUBLED FOR THE ORGANISATION
THEY IMPART THEIR PRECIOUS SERVICES FOR.
OVERALL THE BENEFITS LIKE LEAVES, TRAVEL
CONCESSIONS, MEDICAL FACILITIES ETC. LEAVE
THE SECTOR SECOND TO NONE IN TERMS OF NON
MONETARY BENEFITS. THERE HAS NOT BEEN ANY
BOYCOTT OR STRIKE IN INDIAN DEFENCE.
SUGGESTIONS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF
THE MOTIVATION LEVELS OF SERVICE MEN:
INSPITE OF THE INDIAN DEFENCE SECTOR BEING A
BODY OF DEDICATED AND MOTIVATED PATRIOTS,
THE MONETARY BENEFITS HERE ARE NOT
MATCHED WITH THOSE OF DEVELOPED NATIONS.
THE EQUIPMENTS LIKE WEAPONRY, PROTECTIVE
SHIELDS OR JACKETS, NIGHT VISION GOGGLES
ETC. ARE YET TO BE PROVIDED AT PAR WITH THE
DEVELOPED NATIONS. AN IMPORTANT REASON IS
THE ECONOMY BEING OVERBURDENED DUE TO
RISING POPULATION EXPLOSION. WE AS
RESPONSIBLE AND EDUCATED CITIZENS HAVE THE
RESPONSIBILITY TO SEE TO IT THAT OUR
MOTHERLAND IS FREE FROM THE SHACKLES OF
SOCIETAL WEAKNESSES AND UNITE TOGETHER TO
LEAD TOWARDS COMPREHENSIVE DEVELOPMENT.
