Evaluators Comments:

Janet is an energetic and enthusiastic Educational Assistant who has a genuine concern for the children she
works with. This year, Janet has worked with Alex, a grade 2 student with ASD and under her care Alex has
achieved SEP goals related to behavior. Janet has been a strong advocate for Alex by ensuring that his needs are
met. She is very firm but loving and nurturing and the children sense this. Alex and the other children she works
with know that she has boundaries and expectations but they also know that she cares. She is very positive with the
children and excels at developing their self-esteem.
Janet has strong opinions that are not always conveyed in a tactful manner when dealing with other EAs in
the school. Her attendance this year has been inconsistent and she is frequently tardy relieving other EAs of their
duties after breaks or lunch which creates a domino effect.

Overall, Janet is a very effective EA, is passionate about her job and is an asset to our school.

Teacher Assistants Comments:

Thank-you for your positive comments and I enjoy working at the school. I will be more aware of the clock at break
and lunch as this affects other people. My professional goal for next year will be to improve my communication
skills.
