Y2 DP's PLAN - GUIDELINES

These are the elements needed for your "DP's PLAN", which is required for review by Camera Tutors by the final production meeting.

1. Annotated Script

Scene by Scene Discussion (based on the Director's script analysis). Who's important in the scene? What happens in the
2. scene and what is the significance of this scene in the greater story? What is the emotional tone of the scene?)

3. Visual Descriptions of each scene and shot, photographically speaking. In your own words.

Descriptive plans for achieving these visual aims, shot by shot. (This is NOT the shot list. It may reference the shot list, but it is
4. your own thinking about how you're going to accomplish what you've described above.)

5. Any notes you have on visual style or visual approach to this film. Include comments on colours, textures, etc.

6. Reference material such as photos, drawings or frame grabs from films.

8. Lighting/Exposure Brief (including approach to: contrast ratio; light quality; filters; etc.)
