Lesson one

Introduction of the Great Depression

Objective: Students will become of familiar with the Great Depression. Students will
learn of the cause and effect of the Great Depression. Students will also analyze their
New Deal program.

Preparation: Teacher will make sure the Great Depression introduction video is set up.
Also have the classroom Google account ready with the questions for homework. Each
student will also have an assigned textbook. Prior to class meeting teacher will already
groups of four to five.

Step 1: Teacher will have a seating chart
of each group and the New Deal program
each group will work on. Teacher will
students set to each group before class.
Teacher will guide students to their tables.
This is where students will be seating for
the remainder of the unit plan.

Step 2: Teacher will show the Great
Depression introduction video. Teacher
will also give a small introduction of the
New Deal programs all five groups will be
working on using keynotes. Teacher will
give student her Google + account for the
class and email ms.cruzn@gmail.com
Teacher will instruct students that they will
be send projects to her through email. The
Google+ account will have presentation
and up to date class activities.

Step 1: Students will sit and wait for
instruction from the teacher to wait to see
where they will sit for the remainder of this
project. They will move to the set table.


Step 2: Each student will take note of their
New Deal program their group is working
on. They will also add the teacher on their
Google + accounts and save teachers email.


Step 3: Students will read the article and
use Google to search for their New Deal
projects. Students will need four articles.

Step 4: Students will take home their
history book and read pages 472-475.
Students will download the Great
Depression question sheet and send it
through email to the teacher.
Step 3: Teacher will instruct students to
read the articles she has handed them.
Teacher will also have them search on
Google search engaging on their New Deal
Program. Teacher will instruct them to
download articles they find on their
program. They will need at least four
articles.

Step 4: Teacher will instruct students for
homework they will read pages 472-475
from their history textbooks. Teacher will
have sent students Great Depression
question sheet that they will work on. They
will email them the question sheet to
teachers email.
