Why are the WRCEF and PAC important?
The political influence of a group is greater than that of individuals. Through our PAC, people who care about the communities of northern Ohio have an opportunity to pool their resources in order to influence public policy on issues of importance to the membership. By giving to our PAC, you increase the impact we can have on improving all of our communities through state and federal action. The effectiveness of the WRCEF has proven to be substantial with a 2,000 times return on our contributions.
What are my responsibilities as a WRCEF-PAC Executive Board Member?
As a PAC Executive Board member, you will be asked to participate in an annual business meeting each year. It is the responsibility of the PAC Executive Board to determine how to distribute the PAC Fund. Throughout the year, you will receive correspondence, primarily via email, to keep you informed on current affairs of the WRCEF. There will be a few small WRCEF and PAC fundraising events throughout the year, and hopefully you will be able to host or attend such an event. All PAC contributors must also be WRCEF members, and to be a WRCEF member, you must pay an annual WRCEF membership fee of $100 in addition to any contributions you might make to the PAC. Because the WRCEF and PAC are not non-profit organizations, your membership fee and any other donation is not tax-exempt. These positions do not have a term limit.
