TEACHER DUT$ES
"tudent sa%ety is a top priority. Teachers are e:pected to supervise their students at all
time unless an emergency arises ma3ing it necessary %or the teacher to leave. /% the
teacher does have to leave %or any length o% time; they should report to the principal and
ma3e arrangements to have someone else supervise the group during the a1sence.
All teachers should ma3e an e%%ort to put themselves at the door o% the classroom 1e%ore
leaving %or lunch or special classes. This should prevent the rapid e:it o% the students
%rom the classroom. The teacher shall monitor student 1ehavior in the halls.
Teachers should conduct their classes in such a 7ay as to ensure constructive teaching
and learning is in progress at all times. This 7ill call %or 7ell+developed lesson plans and
good classroom management.

,rimary Talent ,ool A>+3B is a group o% primary students informally selected as having
characteristics and 1ehaviors o% high potential learners and %urther diagnosed using a
series o% in%ormal and %ormal measures to determine di%%erentiated service delivery needs

These primary students 7ill receive services through colla1oration and a consultative
e%%ort on the part o% the !T Resource teacher and the classroom teacher.
$olla1oration is a situation in 7hich the resource teacher may model enrichment+
teaching techni9ues %or the classroom teacher. During colla1oration; 7hen the !T
Resource teacher is modeling techni9ues or materials in a 7hole class situation
Aonce or t7ice per semester depending on given scheduleB; the classroom teacher
shall remain in the classroom. During $onsultation; the !T resource teacher may
provide instructional in%ormation and materials to the primary education teacher so
that the appropriate and ade9uate services may 1e provided to the in%ormally
identi%ied student in the regular classroom setting.
