Week of: May 27th-May 29th Just Fours: CCA Arrival and Table Toys 8:00-8:15 KDI: 1. Initiative Objective: Children enter the classroom at their own pace, using the restroom upon arrival. Children have choices between table activities. Greetings 8:15-8:25 KDI: 11. Community Objective: Children will gather as a large group. Time will be allotted to recite the pledge, greet their friends to school and answer the question of the day.
Transition to hand washing by asking to sound out name, calling middle names, calling a parents name and to find a letter and sound it out. Breakfast 8:25-8:40 KDI: 20. Healthy Behavior Objective: Students will be given the choice to eat breakfast or look at books in the reading area
See Calendar. Message Board and Music and Movement 8:40-9:00 KDI: 26. Reading Objective: Students will read the important information for the day together. The teacher writes the sections of the message board before-hand and reveals them individually.

Tuesday-Thursday: Scrapbook of Preschool KDI: 11. Community, 17. Fine Motor Skills, 40. Art Objective: To create a scrapbook after working on two pages a day for the next week and a half. Beginner- Scribbles the page after gluing the picture on. Middle- Draws different pieces of noticeable art around the picture that they glued on. Uses the alphabet stamps to write their name.
Advanced- Uses the picture as a theme for the page and create art to go around the picture. Also uses the alphabet stamps to create words.
Once they finish show them that they can take a piece of a pipe cleaner and wrap it around their coffee filter and turn it into a butterfly.
Opening Statement: This week we will be working on these scrapbooks. These are going to be a special gift for your families at the end of the year celebration. I want you to take your time and work hard on them because it will be something you will want to keep forever.
Planning Time 9:50-10:00 KDI: 2. Planning Objective: Time is given for children to plan out their work time activities in a developmentally appropriate manner.

Conflict Resolution Objective: Students will explore the interest areas of the classroom freely to enhance learning in the academic areas while working on social skills.

Community Objective: Students and teachers eat together in the cafeteria. Students are given practice with self-help skills and manners while eating. Bathroom Break Teeth Brushing 12:05-12:15 KDI: 20. Healthy Behavior Objective: In order to advocate a healthy lifestyle, children will participate in large group tooth brushing, learning the essential techniques for proper teeth cleaning. Story 12:15-12:30 KDI: 21. Comprehension Objective: The teacher will read a story to students in order to practice the listening and comprehension skills important for pre-reading success.
Rest Time 12:30-1:30 KDI: 20. Healthy Behavior Objective: Resting is for sleeping or quiet relaxation on
individual cots. Rest time includes books and soft music. Snack 1:30-2:00 KDI: 19. Personal Care Objective: Students are given a chance to wake up, use the bathroom, wash hands, and have a healthy snack.

Goodbye, Pack Bags 3:00-3:15 KDI: 12. Building Relationships Objective: The class will gather to say goodbye to each other and discuss the goals they met that day. Students will practice self-help skills by packing their backpacks and getting coats/boats on before their families arrive.
