Louis Anthony Philips 2013-2014 Reflections

1. What is something we did this year that you think you will remember for the
rest of your life?
I will always remember ICT. Its my favorite class.

2. What is something you accomplished this year that you are proud of?

I accomplished being in the assembly 8 times. What I learned from that is
working hard pays off.

3. What was the nicest thing someone in our class did for you this year?
The nicest thing someone did for me was help me do a brain puzzle. We
didnt finish it.
4. What was the most challenging part of this year for you?
The most challenging part of this year for me was my entrepreneur speech.
I dont like paper work.
5. Where is your favorite place in our classroom (or school)? Why?
My favorite place in the school is the computer lab. The computers help me
do my work.
6. If you could change one thing that happened this year, what would it be?
I would change portfolio day to June third. Im a slow worker.
7. What are three things you did this year to help your classmates?
The three things I did this year to help my classmates was help someone do
a math problem, help someone do a brain snack, and help someone do
math dominos. They all needed help.
8. What are the three most important things you learned this year?
The three most important things I learned this year were cross multiplying,
to find the greater than less than and equal to for fractions. Multiplying
fractions is easier than adding fractions, and being sarcastic on stage helps
you act. Good things to learn.
9. What is something that was hard for you at the start of the year, but is easy
now?
Something that was hard for at the start of the year, but is easy now is my
math journal. I use to have outbreaks about not finishing it.
10. In what area do you feel you made your biggest improvements?
My biggest improvement was my math journal. Ive made progress on it.
11. What is your favorite part of the day in our class? Why?
My favorite class is ICT. I like it because it is fun using technology.
12. What is something you taught your teacher or classmates this year?
I found a misspelled word in Mr. Tangemens writing. Thats good!
13. Of the books you read this year, which was your favorite? Why?
Of the books I read this year, my favorite was the last Olympian. I like it
because it has a lot of action.
14. What was the best piece of writing that you did this year? Why do you
think it is your best?
The best piece of writing that I did this year was my persuasive essay. I
formatted it perfectly.
15. What person at our school has made the biggest impact in your life
this year? Why?
My favorite person is Mr. Tangeman. He always helps me with my work.
16. What is something the teacher could have done to make this year
better?
I think our teacher should give us less homework. Its really hard.
17. What are six adjectives that best describe this school year

Boring, fun, awesome, annoying, tiring, and amazing.
18. Knowing what you know now, if you could write a letter to yourself
that would travel back in time so that you would receive it at the start of the
school year, what advice would you give your younger self?
Work hard, no out breaks. It helps.
19. When you consider the rest of your life, what percentage of what you
learned this year do you think will be useful to you? Explain.
29%. Most learning comes from collage.
20. What advice would you give students who will be in this class next
year?
Be wise about what speech topic you choose. Some are harder than you
think.
