A stereotype about Turkey

There are some stereotypes about Turkey all around the world. Like every stereotype, these
stereotypes may not state the reality but how the people see Turkey. So, you should break your
stereotypes about Turkey. One of these common stereotypes is below:
Turkey is a strict muslim country. No, Turkey isnt a strict muslim country. Instead, its a historical
country (especially Istanbul) and there is a freedom of belief and a rule that seperates the
government and religion.
(By the way, that fez isnt used anymore in Turkey)
Well, this was only one example of those stereotypes and I think that its caused by the interesting
history of Turkey with many civilizations including some islamic ones and the mosques with
noteworthy architectures. But you shouldnt mix up the history and today. So to get rid of these
stereotypes easily (if you have any) you can come and visit Turkey and see whats happening here
with your own eyes!

"Turkish men are macho men with dominance and they wear that fez below." No this isn't true. Turks are so polite to people from other countries and to each other. When you look back to
the history you can see that the Turkish men and women were mostly equal and lived together in politeness.
