Goal #1: Stay in contact with parents and develop positive relationships. Strategies: Develop relationships with parents by staying in contact with them through email, phone conversations, meetings, and interviews. I want to be able to contact parents about their child, both positive and concerning conversations. Reflection/Indicators of Success:
a) How successful have I been in meeting my goal? I was successful in reaching this goal as I communicated with many parents throughout my entire internship. I started off the school year by sending out a letter to parents introducing myself as their childs P.E. teacher until Christmas break, explaining my teaching philosophy and the topics that will be covered over the term. I meet with parents a parent/teacher interviews, and continuously communicated with parents via phone and email about their childs progress in class, behavioral problems in class, reminders about gym strip, and positive remarks.
b) How has my professional practice improved? I believe the interaction and communication I have made with parents helped me to grow as a professional. I learned how important it is to communicate with parents regularly, as it builds that relationship with them and shows them you care about their childs education.
Goal #2: To incorporate differentiated instruction within the classroom to reach the learning needs of all students. Strategies: This will be done through a variety of instructional techniques: teacher demonstrations, visual drawing demonstration, video clips, hands-on-learning, modified games, etc. Also, by developing modified differentiated instruction for individual students with learning needs.

Reflection/Indicators of Success:
a) How successful have I been in meeting my goal? I feel that I have been quite successful in reaching this goal, as most of my lesson plans included at least two or more different learning strategies. These strategies were beneficial for all types of learners such as auditory, visual, and kinesthetic.
b) How has my professional practice improved? I believe that my progression in using a variety of learning strategies to assist the student learning needs has increased. For example, by integrating technology, I feel that I have provided students with different and appealing options for learning. Also, I have gained experience with developing modified differentiated instruction for individual students with learning needs (ex. assessment).
c) How have students learning improved? Setting expectations and demonstrating them so that all students can achieve have improved student learning. By providing instruction that was new and enjoyable helped the students be engaged in learning.

a) How successful have I been in meeting my goal? I have been very successful in meeting this goal. I made an effort to be involved with many extra-curricular activities, the benefit not only the school, but my students and co-workers as well.
b) How has my professional practice improved? My professional practice has improved from the experience I gained with all the extra-curricular activities I was involved with. For example: coaching Middle School volleyball and basketball, helping organize and host events and tournaments, involvement with staff meetings and professional development days, participating in staff retreats and supporting school events and teams even if I was not involved with them.
c) How have students learning improved? I believe students appreciated the hard work we put in to their events to make them happen and also having the staff get involved with activities such as dress up days, and competitions.
PE Team Goal: Our goal is to develop a small games resource manual that could be stored in our shared (S) folder. This bank of activities could then be easily accessed by full-time P.E. teachers, student teachers, and teachers that only teach a single P.E. class as a resource for activities that can be used in their small games units, activities for the foyer during the winter months, as well as ideas for games to be played outside. Strategies: During our imbedded PD time on Wednesdays, our goal is to develop a resource that teachers of PE can access to come up ideas for their own lessons. Hopefully it will be a living document that will be added to and further develop with time. Basically we rely on our years of experience as PE specialists, resources that we have collected in our years of teaching PE, as well as a few outside resources in order to create this document.

Measurement: One indicator of success is that part-time teachers of PE will approach us less often looking for ideas for their PE classes. They, as well as us, will have a resource, easily accessible to them, to come up with their own activities for their lessons. Likewise, it will be a living document where all teachers of PE at Lakie can collaborate to create a resource that will benefit everyone whom teaches PE.
