Part 1 (10 points each)


A) Find one run-on (r/o) and correct it.
B) Find one fragment (frag) and correct it.
C) Find one more run-on or fragment and correct it.
– If you don’t have enough (or any) run-ons or fragments, choose any
correct sentence and rewrite it so it’s incorrect.
Part 2
A) Pick any sentence in your essay and connect a new one to it using a
subordinating conjunction (dependent). Make sure the conjunction is logical. (20 pts.)
B) Do the same with a coordinating conjunction (FANBOYS). (20 pts.)
– For “A” or “B,” if you prefer, you can also connect two sentences you
already have.
C) Find any problem with a conjunction (conj.) and correct it. You may have to
change the conjunction to make it more logical or fix the punctuation. (10 pts.)
– If you don’t have a conjunction problem, combine two more sentences or
add a new sentence with any conjunction (like “A” and “B”).
D) Write two new sentences for your essay that shows, not tells connected with
the conjunction ??? [will include add this in class] (20 pts.)

*EXTRA CREDIT (10 points): Correct one more FRAG, RO or CONJ error. (If you
don’t have enough (or any) run-ons, fragments, or conjunctin errors, choose any correct
sentence and rewrite it so it’s incorrect.
