Preschool Teacher 2008 2011 School Years
o I worked with a team of student teachers at Seneca Valley
Preschool. During this time I earned my 90 Hour Clocked
Teaching Certification. Some of my activities included writing,
preparing, and implementing lesson plans, completing an in-depth
case study of a child, and supervising outdoor and indoor play.

Middle School Math Tutor October 2010 February 2011
o On Saturday morning I went to Roberto Clemente Middle School
and helped struggling students to catch up on math homework or to
study for upcoming exams and state tests.

o During my senior year I worked in the Seneca Valley Preschool
office. Some of my duties included organizing preschool parties,
fieldtrips, and graduation, responding to and initiating parent phone

o I currently serve as a student member of Marylands local chapter
of the NEA. As an active member I have participated in several

watching education related documentaries, and volunteering as an
aid when a local school class comes to visit UMD. I was recently
elected as the treasurer of the chapter for the upcoming school
year and I will work on planning outreach events, creating
fundraisers, and helping to recruit new student members.
