GLITZ, GLAMOUR, AND RED CARPET FOR
NATIONAL NURSING HOME WEEK

National Nursing Home Week is intended to make
residents and staff feel special and appreciated ~ like
Hollywood royalty, and thats just what Woodruff Manor
plans to do! May 12
th
-16
th
marks this years National
Nursing Home Week when Woodruff Manor has big
plans to roll out the red carpet and dazzle our residents
and staff with 5 full days of Hollywood-themed events
planned to entertain our superstars. The Hollywood
extravanganza will begin early in the week as residents
enjoy movie premieres with popcorn and Hollywood
show tunes entertainment. Later in the week, we will
provide residents and staff with fun photo ops with
props in a photo booth. We think this will be a big hit!
The Hollywood hype will continue on into the remainder
of the week and will include other fun Hollywood-
themed activities, like Hollywood Bingo and Name That
Star. On Friday, residents will receive star-quality
makeovers for our Oscar Awards fashion show, leaving
them destined for stardom. Also on Friday, our
Hollywood gala will conclude with a celebratory cookout
for our residents and staff to remind each individual that
he or she is truly a starlet at Woodruff Manor.



National Nurses Week

National Nurses Week begins May 6

every year on National Nurses Day and
ends on May 12
th
, honoring the birth date
of Florence Nightingale, who is widely
recognized as the founder of modern
nursing.


Its only fitting that this years theme is
Nurses: Leading the Way, especially
here at Woodruff Manor where we are
committed to quality health care for our
seniors. Our nursing staff leads the way
for our residents to manage residents
chronic illnesses, daily medications,
vaccinations, medical appointments, and
so many other healthcare needs in order to
stay as healthy as possible across each
individuals lifespan. They provide
leadership to our CNAs, who provide basic
direct patient care to assist with our
residents daily living activities. Also, we
rely on our nursing staff to educate our
employees, our residents, and their
families.
May all the care & kindness you give to
