Installing Cadence SPB / Orcad 16.

0. Edit the the file license163.lic - in the first line replace "this_host" by
the real name of your computer;
1. Install the license server (License Manager);
2. Overwrite file cdslmd.exe in the installation folder of the license manager b
y the one in the "Aspirin\license_manager" folder;
3. copy license file "license163.lic" in the license manager directory
4. Start LicenseServerConfiguration.exe in the folder License Manager (LicenseMa
nager)
5. Create an environment variable with the value CDS_LIC_FILE this_host @ 5280.
with this_host replaced by the name of your machine (My computer-> properties->
advanced-> enviromnent variables)
6. In the Select license, select the edited file license163.lic
7. Click Next
8. In the editing window, check the value of Port number is 5280
9. In the editing window Host Name check your machine's hostname (computer name)
10. Click Next
11. Click Next again
12. Click Finish
13. Reboot
14. Install Cadence SPB / OrCAD 16.3
15. Copy all the files from the folder "Aspirin\patch" in the root of the OrCad
installation directory (C:\Cadence)
16. Start RunMe!.Bat
17. Wait
18. Wait a while longer
19. Enjoy the Cadence SPB / OrCAD 16.3
