Domain: Creative Arts Expression Element: Drama The children will use dialogue, actions, and objects to tell a story or express thoughts and feelings about their gardening experience. Domain: Creative Arts Expression Element: Drama The children will use socially appropriate behavior with peers and adults, such as helping, sharing, and taking turns with their materials provided. Domain: Social & Emotional Development Element: Social Relationships II. Materials: Story Gloves (I pair per child) Apron Gardening tools Shallow plastic bins (6) Mud dough Seeds III. Procedure: A. Motivation I will enter circle time and introduce my story to the children B. Steps 1. I will read the story to the children and ask questions throughout 2. 4 children will go to the first station to put their gloves on 3. While 4 more children go to that station, the first group will go to the next station to put their aprons on 4. The children will then go to their tables where a 3 bins are prepared with materials they can utilize for their garden 5. The children will work in small groups and form their own garden 6. One child from each garden will explain what they are planting and what they hope to see IV. Conclusion: The children will describe their gardens V. Transition: The children rotate in groups from station to station VI. Follow-Up: 1. Let the children put their seeds in a pot to grow 2. Take pictures and make a book of their gardens. 3. Read the children their class book
