By teaching the lesson via power point it will target a number of different learning styles. The students will have a visual aid so they can follow along while taking notes this will reach the visual learners and those who learn best by writing. The auditory learners will learn by listening to myself and other classmates as we discuss the lesson material. The review game will encourage those with motivational differences. Some students are very competitive and by reviewing with a game it will encourage those students who need incentive to get the answers right.

Procedures Introduction/ Lesson Set Because there is so much to be completed in lesson three we will do a short recap of information and go right into the days lesson on Presidential reform. Body and Transitions Lesson three will be a short lesson that covers the very basic idea of presidential reform and hits the key points of Presidents Roosevelt and Taft. I do have slides the students can use as a visual but for this lesson I would like to have more student based discussions and interaction. The discussion setting will lend itself to smoothly transition into the review of all three sections. The review will be a type of jeopardy game and they will play independently. While the information is fresh from the review they will be given the final assessment which is a multiple choice and short discussion test.

Closure Assessment Diagnostic- Because this is the third lesson I will have a better idea of where they are going into the final based on their previous work such as their newspaper article and graphic organizers. I will base the opening question review on what they seem to be struggling with as a whole. Formative- review games, jeopardy, around the world, students will be assessed on how many questions they can answer correctly and if they can use examples from the lessons to explain their answers. Summative- Final formal assessment (multiple choice, discussion questions) Materials When the test is finished they will be allowed to use their phones quietly until everyone is finished (per Ms. Williams) After all the tests are turned in I will answer any questions students have by that time it will be time to dismiss and they will be free to leave

Smart board, PowerPoint, YouTube access, paper, writing utensil, textbook

Extended Activities
If Student Finished Early- Any extra time within the lesson will be used for review. The students can ask questions and if they do not have any questions to ask we will continue to review the test material in different ways. If Lesson Finished Early- The test will be given ten minutes before class is going to end but if they do have extra time they can work a crossword puzzle with the unit vocabulary to earn bonus points. If Technology Fails- If technology fails and I cannot use the Smart board we will play around the world. Students go against each other one on one and answer the questions I give them, whichever one gets it right moves on to the next student repeating the same rules the game ends when one student has successfully answered all the questions correctly before their classmates.
