To Whom It May Concern: I had the pleasure of getting to know Michelle Logsdon during the spring of 2013 when she did observation hours from St. Ambrose University. Ms. Logsdon had many qualities that will make her a great teacher. Upon coming into my classroom from the very first day, she walked around during group work and helped the freshman with questions they had. She brought up some questions and insights to the students that allowed for deeper engagement for some who I had not really heard from much since school had begun. She jumped right in with grading as well. I gave her brief instructions on how I graded pair shares students had done for my reading classes and she set to work and did a thorough job of reading and writing comments on their papers. I asked her to co-plan a unit of The Lottery by Shirley Jackson for my reading classes. Ms. Logsdon sat down and read through what I had typed up and she was able to offer a few more suggestions. She revealed that she is thoughtful, knowledgeable, and creative. Ms. Logsdon has proven that she has many great qualities. A few words to describe her would have to include diligent, energetic, caring, accepting, selfmotivated, intelligent, knowledgeable, independent, charismatic, and tenacious. I am very proud to recommend Ms. Logsdon to any teaching job because she would make a great addition to any school district.
