Prediction Relay: Make Predictions Main Idea Summarizing Once students are trained, they are ready to work independently

Monitor closely

Pair students according to reading levels

Prepare the Materials: Print and display posters and score sheets

Train Students: It takes 12 lessons over 4 weeks to properly train the students

Implementing the Strategies


Incorporate PALS at least 3 days a week Each activity session takes 30-35 minutes

Model the expected behaviors and academic langauge Change groups/pairs every 3-4 weeks to keep it fresh!

Divide pairs into teams to compete for points
