The Devils Arithmetic

Directions: Parts 1 and 2 need to be completed by the end of the novel and shared with me no later than March 3rd, at the end of the day.
PART 1 End the end of each section you need to create two questions that are unique to the chapters listed below. Go beyond single word, or yes/no answer questions. (ex: Why was Grandpa Will so upset?) Chapters 1-3 Chapters 4-6 Chapters 7-9 Chapters 10-12 Chapters 13-15 Chapters 16-Epilogue PART 2 You need to write 10 journal entries throughout the course of this novel from Hannah/Chayas point of view. Each one needs to be at least page long. All 10 entries need to be in chronological order and are due at the end of the novel. Suggestions (feel free to come up with your own relevant topics): Introduce yourself Tell about your family and the gathering Tell about your new surroundings Tell about your trip to the camp Tell about who is at the camp with you Describe daily life in the camp, food, work What happens to family and/or friends How do you contact people and other parts of the camp Can you get medicine Escape plans - what happens End of journal - was the camp liberated? If you died and someone else found your journal, what would they write for your final entry? What happened to you?
