Proposal to Create a Training and Reference Manual for the Chronic Care Clinic at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Denton Summary The chronic care clinic at the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Denton requires a manual that over states their policies and procedures. The clinic needs a manual because it is a new facility that is going to be having new employees. Employees at the main hospital need this manual because it is necessary for a set of visual reference talk points for the training staff and for the new personnel to look off of. I can complete a rough draft by April 17. I will prepare the contents of the manual free of charge. However, the materials and supplies will cost approximately $337.80 for 20 manuals. Current Problems at TH Presbyterian in Denton The chronic care clinic in Denton will be the first chronic care clinic Texas Health Resources possesses and will need new policies and procedures to ensure efficient management and regulate the clinic productively. The new employees will be unexperienced with the building, thus a manual is in need to reduce error causes. Most of the employees will be untrained with the new system, thus will need constant reference to a specific handbook. The chronic care clinic will be trained health care professionals, but the policy and procedures will be revised to fit the clinics needs while still following hospital regulations. The clinic will also have volunteers assisting the nurses and physicians in various tasks and may be in the way depending on the situation.
