MINUTES EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OF THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF COUNTY PLANNERS Teleconference Call on February 6, 2014

1. Call to Order Chair Brown convened the regular meeting at 2:42 pm (Eastern Time). 2. Roll Call Members present were Tim Brown, Megan Nelms, Judy Francis, Hiller West, Jacqueline Kamp and Joe Scorcio. Keith Cubic, Charlie Compton, Tracy Hegler, Mike Harper, Mike Kayes, Robert Hill, Dennis Sandquist, Royce Maniko and Adriana Trujillo-Villa were excused. A quorum was confirmed. 3. Approval of December 5, 2013 Teleconference Summary Helms moved and Scorcio seconded to approve the minutes as presented. The motion passed unanimously. 4. Finance Report Treasurer Harper was not available for this conference call, so approval of the financial report was deferred until the next meeting. 5. 2014 Renewal Notices Update Brown indicated that Treasurer Harper had requested board approval that renewals be mailed/e-mailed in late March or early April. Scorcio moved, seconded by Francis to approve the schedule for renewal notices. The motion passed unanimously. 6. USGS FACA Activities Francis is chairing a national committee on adaption strategies regarding water infrastructure issues related to climate change. Her committee works feeds up to a Blue Ribbon Committee that is reporting to the President. She asked for any input that the members might have on the overall subject. 7. Other Business Scorcio moved, seconded by Francis to appoint Hiller West to serve as the NACP Secretary following the conclusion of the next meeting. He will complete the current term when Scorcio steps down from the board. The motion was approved by acclamation. There was no other business. 8. Schedule Next Executive Committee Meeting Date and Time The next conference call will be Thursday February 6, 2014 immediately following the 2:00 pm (Eastern Time) CPD meeting. 9. Adjournment The NACP meeting was adjourned at 2:52 pm (Eastern Time).
