NOISE ABATEMENT
GENERAL
The following noise abatement procedures shall apply for FAN JET AIRCRAFT

RUNWAY USAGE

Runway 05L will be used for departures only.


Runway 23R will be used for arrivals only.
Runways 05C/23C will be used for arrivals and departures.
Runways 16/34 are only available in daytime and VMC as alternate runway.

ARRIVALS
LOW-POWER/LOW-DRAG APPROACH
Aircraft should maintain 250 KT IAS { 10 KT below FL 100. Speed should be reduced
continuously so as to reach 170 KT IAS { 10 KT shortly prior to 5 nm from runway
threshold, except when ceiling is below 500' and/or ground visibility is less than 2 km.
Pilots unable to comply should advise ATC.

DEPARTURES
Take-off to 1800'

Take-off power
Take-off flaps
Climb at V 2 + 10 KT to 20 KT (or as limited by body angle).

At 1800'
1800'-3300'

Reduce thrust to not less than climb power.


Climb at V 2 + 10 KT to 20 KT (or as limited by body angle).

At 3300'

Accelerate with flap retraction on schedule to en-route climb at


250 KT IAS below FL 100.

REVERSE THRUST

Idle reverse thrust is recommended during landing.

RUN-UP TESTS
Run-up tests will be done on runway before take-off.

VISUAL DOCKING GUIDANCE SYSTEM (VDGS)


Only all the jetways on the APRON of terminal building 3 are equipped with VDGS.
Stands F1 thru F9B and G1 thru G9.

The scrolling arrows indicate the system is activated.

The flashing red arrow and the solid yellow arrow are providing
Azimuth guidance information.

When the correct stop position is reached, all of the LEDs in the
stopping position indicator will be closed, the word "STOP" will
appear in the display.

STOP

If the aircraft stops in the correct position, "OK" will be displayed


after a few seconds.

If the aircraft has gone after the correct stop position, the display
will show "TOO FAR".
