1. Teacher shows picture cards of food to the pupils. Eg: 2. Teacher says aloud the name of the food and pupils listen attentively. 3. Teacher demonstrates the correct spelling of the food on the white board. 4. Teacher demonstrates the correct pronunciation of the food. 5. Teacher says aloud the name of the food and pupils repeat after the teacher.

1. Teacher shows to the pupils the picture cards of food. 2. Teacher segments the words (food) sound by sound. 3. Pupils sounding out the name of the food they are looking at

Production (15 minutes)

1. Teacher shows the picture cards of food. 2. Teacher demonstrates the correct spelling of the words (food) on the white board. 3. Pupils segment the words (food) sound by sound.

Teacher asks the pupils: Give me the beginning sound. (Children respond with /s/.) Give me the middle sound. (Children respond with /u/.) Give me the ending sound. (Children respond with /n/.)
