Energy Summative Task About coal and wind power

How wind and coal works

Wind Frist wind goes into the wind turbine and it gets coveted into a machine and get coveted into electricity. Wind bowels the blades around and around and it goes though a few machine's. And makes electricity. Coal Coal starts as a plant and when the plant dies sand and other stuff goes over it. Then in 1000 years it turns in to coal. So that is how coal works.

How is it extracted
Wind When the blades turn inside the turbine a gearbox's that turns to gears that turns another gearbox called the speed shaft. The speed shaft is connoted to the generator the cooper magnets inside the generator make electricity. Coal people fined coal in mines and take it to a power plant .Then they boil the coal then there is a big pipe that takes it to a turbine. There is anther big pipe it takes it to the power lines.

Renewable or non-renewable
Wind Wind is a renewable energy sources because you can re-use wind because wind is from the sun and the sun will always be used. the wind never stops running Coal Coal is non renewable because when you burn coal it is gone for ever. It also take one millions to make it form fossilized organic material.

How much energy can coal and wind produce

Wind Wind turbines can light 350 in one day so in one month it can power 10500 that is a lot compered to other renewable energy sources. coal You can only get 25 % of coal energy because all of the burnt parts fall of the coal. By that estimate there is 1.7 watts is used per hour for every gram of coal.

How useful is coal and wind power

Wind Wind is very useful because it is efficient and it last for a long time because the wind will never stop. the wind makes a lot of energy so that is why it is useful. Coal Coal is a plentiful resource that have been used for those of years to prouder energy, both in the from of heat and electricity and it is efficient

Who discover wind power & coal

wind Wind power has been used for over 5000 years it was discovered because they know that wind had energy so they made wind turbine James blyb coal Coal which is a fossil fuel that is formed from the remain of plants that lived millions of years ago. Coal was discovered by North American Indians.

How does coal and wind affected the environment

wind Wind power is good for the environment because it is a renewable energy source and it use power from the sun wind comes from the sun but wind power also kills trees habited. coal The burning of coal or fossil fuel affects the environment by emitting dangerous gasses into the air. There are also scores of other problems coal can have on the environment as well.

Postives and negatives

wind
One good reason is there in green house gas affects because there is no green house gas affected it has a very little bit of carbon dixodercied realesd. wind dose not coast money so free fuel. negatives the blades make a lot of noise so you have to be 200 meters away if you want to live there and wind turbines affected the trees habit.

coal
The pros to coal are efficiency and cost. Coal can be substantially cheaper than other forms of heat, especially when compared to electricity. It can also provide a longer burn than wood. One of the cons of coal would be the messy ash. Burning coal tends to leave a lot of ash. Coal is sometimes considered a 'dirty' burn because of the ash.
