Created a cohesive unit to be taught in the classroom, Understanding Shapes based upon the schools mathematics curriculum. Planned lessons and activities on a daily and weekly basis using the schools curriculum. Gained complete control of the classroom for approximately two to three weeks. Carried out student assessment for reading, writing and mathematics, whole group and individually. Used the Daily 5 Language Arts teaching methods. Implemented and taught small group intervention for reading, writing and mathematics. Taught labs based off of college level Physical Geography. Worked with a Muskegon Community College Professor to build The Earths Waters unit.
