SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES TO MEET GOALS: My specific performance objective is going to be the way I present the topic of my lesson. The theme for the week in this class room is on Ways to Say I Love You. My goal for this lesson would be to get the class to brainstorm creative, simple, unique, and helpful ways to express love. As reference picture signs I will ask the children questions about what they see in the pictures and how they see it as a way to show love. Students will be able to think out of the box. How they respond to my questions will show me how well they are following along in the lesson. COMMON CORE STANDARD (GENEARL OJBECTIVES): Standard 2, teachers know and understand the content area for which they have instructional responsibility. Element C, teachers understand school and district curriculum priorities and the Ohio academic content standards. What I want the students to take away from this discussion is the understanding that everything nice that they do can express love. I want students to remember that there are many creative ways to say l love you. MOTIVATIONAL TECHNIQUES: To start, before beginning my lesson I will ask the students what the theme for the week is. Then I will ask them what they have done so far to show others they love them. What I will do to spark their interests will by to invite the students to talk about ways they say, I love you. This will allow me to evaluate how much they have already learned and to get them excited about the lesson. MATERIALS NEEDED: The only materials I will need for the lesson would be a stool to sit upon so the students will be able to see my signs from where they sit.

LESSON PLAN
PROCEDURE FOR THE LESSON: The students are already placed sitting in their designated carpet spots upon the floor in one large group, so I will leave them in their original spaces. I will be given approximately 15 minutes to give this lesson to the students. Below is a list of the steps I will take in chronological order, with the amount of time I will devote to each. 1. (1 minutes) I will begin my lesson by giving the students a brief explanation on how the lesson will play out. I will then proceed to ask my students questions that will get them to think on a broader level. 2. (8 minutes) For these eight minutes I will lead a class discussion that will get the children to brain storm different ways to show love through simple, creative, unique, and helpful ways. 3. (5 minute) During this time I will hold up signs that I have created for the students to look at and decide as a class how the pictures apply to showing or expressing love. I have chosen this procedure because it not only is what works well in this class room and age group of the students, but also because it really helps the student to develop good observation and creative thinking skills and appropriate behavior when interacting and communicating with their fellow classmates.

LESSON PLAN
ACADEMIC LANGUAGE: The Language of the subject matter is English, and my students will listen, communicate, understand, and perform as they are expected. ASSESMENT METHODS: I will assess how well the students attained what was discussed during the lesson and I will evaluate how much the students enjoyed the lesson by observing how interactive they are during the lesson and what information they can generate while analyzing the signs I hold up.
