Introduction:Explain to the students that seasons are created by the Earth rotating around its axis. The rotation of the Earth around the sun also creates night time and day time. Procedure: Students will use spider scribe to create a mind map of what they know about each season and day/night, what they like about each season, day/night and they will also have a section on what they would like to know about seasons. Conclusion: Have a class discussion about each topic. Introduction: Students will sit on the mat and watch a youtube video on the seasons as a class. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=taHTA7S_JGk Procedure: Using wall wisher students will summarize the information in the video. This information will be displayed as it is written on the class interactive white board. Conclusion: Students can read what other students have written to clarify anything they didnt understand.

The class discussion will allow the teacher to form a base level of knowledge of the students on which to build.

Students will show understanding of concepts through Wall Wisher which is easily displayed for anyone to see.

Introduction:In groups of four each student will be allocated a season. Talk about things that happen in each season, eg. birthdays holidays, hot, cold etc. Procedure: Using ToonDo students will create a three box cartoon about their allocated season. the first box will be about the weather, the second will be about something that happens during that season and the third will be something they like to do during that season.

The ToonDos will be printed and collected so that the teacher can assess how accurate each cartoon is.

Introduction: Students will be asked to use the information they have compiled on seasons over the previous lessons to create a presentation on Haiku Deck. Procedure: In partners students will use Haiku Deck to make a presentation on the seasons. They will have one slide per season and a slide at the end stating which season is their favourite and why. http://www.haikudeck.com Conclusion: Students will present their Haiku Deck to the class

The presentation of the students Haiku Deck will serve as the final form of assessment. Students will be marked out of 20, 4 marks for each slide. 1for presentation 2 for content 1 for the aesthetic of the Haiku Deck
