Created and implemented a creative integrated year long unit in the classroom around the study of animals. Worked in small guided reading groups using Reading A-Zs leveling system for differentiated instruction. Developed students literacy skills using Lucy Calkins, Daily Oral Language, Empower Brain Frames, Literacy Cafe, and Daily 5. Created a cooperative learning environment utilizing the Kagan Cooperative Learning technique. Worked on a team of four rst grade teachers assuring that we guide our students through a curriculum map provided by the Laveen Elementary School District. Coached Dance Team with the 6-8 resource teacher to middle school girls as an after school activity.
