Focus: Listening and speaking. Theme: World of stories. Topic: Animals.

Introduction: This lesson focuses on listening and speaking. Activities are teacher-lead where teacher points out the correct way to pronounce animals names. There should be a lot of encouragement to speak and share. Teacher also includes fun and enjoyable elements through the use of song about animals. Teachers role is to facilitate and provide a good environment for listening and speaking to happen in the classroom. Content Standards: 1.1 Pupils will be able to pronounce words and speak confidently with the correct stress, rhythm, and intonation in accordance to Standard British English (SBE). Learning Standards: 1.1.3 Able to say aloud and recite rhymes or sing songs. 1.1.4 Able to talk about a stimulus with guidance. Objective: By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able: Pronounce the animals name correctly. Able to construct simple sentences. Time: 30/60minutes. Teaching Aids: Video and Animal Puppet. Activity: Pre: Introducing the topic.

Teacher will show a picture of the jungle to the pupils. Later, the teacher will ask a few questions to the pupils about jungle.What can be found in the jungle?, What kind of animal can you see in a jungle and What are their colours. While: Sing and Action. Teacher distributes the lyrics to the pupils and asks if they are familiar with the song. Next, teacher plays the video on the screen twice. Then, the teacher will instruct the pupils to sing along while referring to the lyrics. During the second repetition of the song, teacher will show the actions to be choreographed by the pupils. Teacher will then

ask a few volunteers to demonstrate the action to the other pupils in the classroom. After that, teacher will ask the pupils to stand together, and sing along with actions.

Post: Colouring Activity. Teacher will distribute papers with animals heads to the pupils and ask them to colour the pictures. Next, the teacher will ask them to properly cut the pictures. A stick will be glued at the back of the pictures to form a mini puppet. Teacher will show the pupils a correct way to introduce the puppet by giving them simple sentences. Example: I am a tiger. I live in the jungle.
