Watery World will provide the New Orleans community with an opportunity to engage with our water system in a fun, educational setting. This event will be an all-ages party focused on the different aspects of our water, including drinking water, water quality, and flooding. We hope to engage new audiences and create greater awareness of the importance of water in Southeast Louisiana.

This event will kick off Louisiana Water Month, tying together many water-related events taking place in March, including: ! GreenARMY rally: March 8, 2014, 12-2pm ! Building Resilience Workshop: March 13-14, 2014 ! State of the Coast Conference: March 18-20, 2014 ! World Water Day & Childrens Museum Waters of the World: March 22, 2014 ! Water Challenge: March 24, 2014

Watery World will feature activities for kids and adults, including: ! Watery Kids Corner: arts & craft activities and hands-on water quality testing, courtesy of The Water Initiative ! Neighborhood Water Wise: educational materials from the Water Wise neighborhood workshops on how we can better manage water on our properties ! Watery Stories: an oral history booth to record community members experiences with water and flooding ! Watery Photo Booth: a water-themed photo booth to celebrate all the ways we enjoy water in Southeast Louisiana
