Itinerary and Rules for National History Day Competition

Departure: Saturday, March 15th at 6:55AM from Housel Middle School

Students can arrive at Housel between 6:40-6:50

Note: Exhibit Hall will be closed to public during judging. Setup can begin as early as 7:30 AM.

9:40 a.m.- 2:10p.m. 2:30. 3:15 p.m. 2:00 p.m.- 3:30 p.m. 3:30 p.m.* 4:00 5:00 p.m.

Judging (Performance, Documentaries, Exhibit, and Websites), Exhibit Hall open to public Score Tally Awards Ceremony Stop for dinner at Miners (bring money or sack lunch)

Return: We should arrive back at Housel by 6:15 pm. Students will call their parents from the bus to give a pick up time.
If you are picking your child up at West Valley, you need to have a signed permission form turned in to Mr. Buttars before we leave Friday afternoon and must check out with Mr. Buttars, Mr. Smith, or Mrs. Hall before leaving.

Conduct:

Students are to conduct themselves appropriately at all times as representatives of the school and community. (This includes how you interact with adults AND other students.) Students are to be in designated areas for the competition only. Students must be under the supervision of Mr. Buttars, Hall, Smith, and Salyers Smith *or an
adult chaperone with prior approval

Keep track of your project materials and personal belongings. Students might want to bring a book to read, snacks or other appropriate materials Attend other presentations and be supportive. Be prepared and have fun.
