McWorld is the dominant force in my life because it helps drive the development of technology. In the article Jihad vs. McWorld, Benjamin Barber states, Scientific progress depends on open communication, a common way of thinking and speaking rooted in rationality, collaboration, and a constant flow and exchange of information.
Other benefits of McWorld are: - Global unity - Inclusiveness - Peace - Stability - Adaptivity - Efficiency - Technological development - Flow of information

Gaming and Globalization

The video game market is growing quickly, especially in foreign markets. International games have to be adapted to local markets to be successful. Some things companies have to consider when introducing a game to a country are gaming patterns, consumer behavior, infrastructure, commercial norms and local regulations.

Growth of the video game market is broad but especially large in China, Russia and Brazil.
Different aspects of the game have to be tailored for local playing conditions as though the game was built from the ground up for that market.

While video games are made for global market, they are differentiated for particular markets. Global cultural marketing is working against national and ethnic cultural diversity. Global cultural marketing is working for class-, age-, and gender- based market differentiation.

Most game developers plan to take their games global from the beginning. As the sale figures in international markets continue to rise, localized versions of games will be profitable. It is now commonplace for developers to ship French, German, Italian, and Spanish versions simultaneously Korean and Japanese are also becoming more popular localizations

The spread of technology and video games is a positive impact of globalization because: Constant flow and exchange of information Vast interactive communication network
