    As part of my research for Creative Capital, I did a lot of digging in the online archives of the New York Times, which go all the way back to 1861. This is a treasure trove of history. Here's one item the Times published on the IPO of Digital Equipment Corp--the venture capital's first blockbuster IPO, I argued in my book. Obviously, I think the Times underplayed the story!
