Maintenance Services Department, Operations Division at Zuikerbosch Water Treatment Plant.

BRICKLAYER
(Wet trade) OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY The successful applicant will be responsible for general bricklaying work, plastering, tiling and performing concrete work. PRIMARY DUTIES Reporting to the Assistant Building Foreperson at Zuikerbosch Water Treatment Plant the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Foundations, structures, scaffolding, valve boxes, man holes and concrete slabs. Perform bricklaying, plastering, tiling and concrete work to all buildings on site as and where required. Assess work and required material, receive job cards and allocate work to assistants. Carry out all work, report non-performance, maintain good employee relations, ensure that work area is safe, neat and tidy. JOB REQUIREMENTS N2 or equivalent coupled with a recognized trade test as Bricklayer. 3 year post apprenticeship experience in the Bricklaying trade. Working on heights and in confined spaces, and physically demanding . Code EB drivers license and ability to pass Rand Waters K53 Test. Manage job cards on a daily basis and stand in an acting capacity as and when required.
