Healthy Learners is a non-profit program that helps children get the medical care they need so that poor health isn't an issue for them doing well in school. Healthy Learners addresses vision care, dental care, hearing evaluations, assistance with prescription medications, clinical counseling and episodic care for other health concerns. Breakfast in the Classroom is a program that allows every student to get breakfast. Studies show that students that eat breakfast before school, do better in school. By having breakfast in the classroom it creates a community of sorts by having the students eating together and it also helps with students focus and behavior. Response to Intervention or RTI are small groups that are pulled out of the classroom to get extra support in reading. Learning out Loud is a program that pulls students who have difficulty in the classroom with behavior and/or academics. Many Math manipulatives such a Artificial Money and Clocks are available in the classroom. There are two different libraries in the classroom, a Leveled Library and a Subject Library. Every classroom has a SMARTboard and an Ipad. Reading Recovery is for 1st graders who qualify for extra one on one instruction. This instruction is a period of 30 minutes per child that helps get him/her up to the grade level average. Discovery Education is a website that offers videos, lesson plans, and other resources that might be useful to any teacher. Safari Montage is a program that has many different video clips for many different subjects

or topics. Dreambox is a new program that has been added to the school. This program is a Math based program that tests the students Math ability and builds the 'games' around their individual level. Permanent Records are kept in a vault and teacher is able to get these to keep them up to date with important information. These records provide test scores, variety of assessments, grades, family information, home language surveys, and any other vital information the teacher might need to get to know the students better from year to year. Map Tests start in 1st grade and the data collected from the test is used to plan future instruction in math and reading for students Part-time Social Worker works to address particular needs of student and their families. A Speech Teacher is available for those who qualify. GATAS instruction is instruction for the gifted and talented students at the school. Instructional Specialist conducts weekly PLCs with teacher and works to ensure that students and teacher are provided resources to be successful. Secretary and School Nurse are liaisons between Spanish speaking families and none Spanish speaking educators. There 3 Special Education Classes. There is 1 resource class and there are 2 self contained classes.
