Director of Finance

The Conservative Party of Canada is currently searching for a new Director of Finance. Reporting to the Executive Director, this position provides leadership for all of the Conservative Partys finance and accounting activities. A strong champion of performance management and accountabilty, this individual will ensure the organization is process-oriented, steeped in best-practices and highly efficient. The new Director of Finance will play a key role in the Conservative Partys journey towards building a stronger culture of excellence by fostering a teamwork first environment. This position is accountable for the financial operations of the Conservative Party of Canada, the integrity of financial reporting, and the fiscal accountability to its complex set of stakeholders. As a member of the senior management team, the Director of Finance will have direct input into planning and executing the strategy of the organization. The successful candidate will be a respected professional who works with ease at both strategic and operational levels, and excels in an environment that values innovation and strategic thinking. Qualifications and Experience:

A post-secondary degree in business, finance or related discipline, coupled with a finance designation, preferably a CA. Experience in an operationally complex business in either the private or public sector. A proven track record of implementing operational finance processes structure and best practices that enable growth and elevate intelligent decision support. Exposure to logistically complex, technology-enabled service offerings and an understanding of the operational dynamics of a quasi-public or multi-stakeholder setting. Experience implementing and/or modifying financial systems and sound business processes. Previous experience at the senior management level. Bilingualism will be considered an asset.
