Educational Leader Professional Growth Plan

Goal Statement & Implementation Relationship of Goal to Strategies/Action ISSL Steps/Timeline

I will practice speaking my mind and expressing my true opinions especially when others disagree. (ISSL 3) Prior to attending meetings about specific issues, I will write down my perspectives on the issues. I will also disagree verbally if I do not think a plan is the best option. Question the necessity of things I feel are unimportant. Determine the purpose of accomplishing specific tasks

Specific Outcomes/Achievements
Though LSI 1 & 2 scores were in the middle range and within 5 points of each other, I scored myself lower in this category thereby making it a blind spot. I want others to perceive me as not needing approval to lead, so I need to become more vocal using more direct statements. My skills will improve by working toward our vision, streamlining our processes, and strengthening the organization. Staff will understand that I will not accept the status quo, but we all must work toward improvement.

Techniques for Gathering Evidence

Mentor discussions Feedback from peers Personal observations of reactions and whether colleagues solicit more of my input Feedback from staff Personal observations

(Approval) I need to practice not participating in things I dont believe are necessary or important and question whether it supports our vision (ISSL 1, 2, and 3) (Conventional)
