curingprocessifincorrectcuringproceduresarefollowed.
Greatcaremustbetakentoensurethatsafeheatingrates,dwelltemperaturesandlayup/baggingproceduresare
adheredto,especiallywhenmouldingsolidlaminatesinexcessof3mm(0.12in)thickness.Theriskofexothermincreases
withlayupthicknessandincreasingcuretemperature.Itisstronglyrecommendedthattrials,representativeofallthe
relevantcircumstances,arecarriedoutbytheusertoallowasafecurecycletobespecified.Itisalsoimportantto
recognisethatthemodelortoolmaterialanditsthermalmass,combinedwiththeinsulatingeffectofbreather/bagging
materialscanaffecttheriskofexotherminparticularcases.
